Allstate Quote Experience
Client: Allstate
Role: Art Director
Allstate approached Manifest Digital to redesign the quoting process for all insurance lines to use a responsive framework. As part of the design process, Manifest worked with the Allstate design team to develop a universal brand style guide that would be used throughout the company.
My responsibilities as the design lead included providing direction to other members of the design team, managing workload and client expectations, and working with the Allstate design team to develop the brand style guide.
We started by concepting two unique designs. The initial concepts needed to not only follow the Allstate brand, but also be clean, modern, and scalable for responsive. We started with a mobile first approach.
After the client chose a concept, we started to work on developing the unique templates that would be used to create the pages. Since the project was agile and running on two week sprints, the design team had to work closely with the development team to make sure the templates would adapt to other pages.
While the Manifest team was developing the responsive templates, Allstate was in the middle of a brand revamp. They wanted to use the responsive quoting project as the first project to use a universal toolkit that would be used for all applications moving forward.
I was tasked with working directly with the Allstate internal Creative Director and Associate Creative Director to build out the elements that would be used for this toolkit. This involved thinking holistically about the Allstate brand to develop a UI that would work for all the business units.
Manifest continued to work with Allstate in a supporting role until the responsive project launched in 2016. This includes design/functional QA, and working with the Allstate business to make sure that all requirements are accounted for.
