In 2021, Cox asked FCB to develop a full marketing experience for their new cellular service. With Cox Mobile being a completely new product, the FCB team was tasked with developing a .com experience that both informed customers about the features of Cox Mobile while building a new brand.
Current Mobile Homepage
The initial explorations started with a set of core pages identified by the UX and Design teams at FCB. These pages included the ideal flow to inform customers about the offerings of Cox Mobile. The pages centered around the Data Plans page where customers were able to decide between Cox’s Pay-By-The-Gig or Unlimited Data Plan offerings.

While the team was developing the initial flow, the design team at FCB was working on developing a unique subbrand for Cox mobile that differentiated it from the Core Cox Brand. During that team the team worked in partnership with the team to determine how the new brand would be represented on the .com experience. The .com team also provided expertise on how the brand explorations would take into account WAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
Branded Content Pod Explorations
After finalizing the brand explorations, all the Cox Mobile pages were updated to create a consistent branded experience. The goal was to make small adjustments to our .com design system to align to the brand while keeping consistency with our components.

In tandem with the pages for Cox.com site, the team also worked on a full suite of new mobile icons that would be used to represent all the latest devices.
