Cox NOVA Campaign

In 2019 Cox created internet bundle offers specifically for the Northern Virginia (NOVA) market to try get customers to switch away from their primary competitor. FCB was tasked with creating a campaign specifically for the NOVA market that would entice customers to switch to Cox by touting Cox’s connected home offerings.
NOVA Tablet Version
The FCB team brainstormed ways to represent the ecosystem of Cox’s connected devices, ultimately settling on an illustration that would show the home with hotspots to explain how all the products can be used together.
To create the illustration, FCB partnered with animation and design studio Global Mechanic. Global Mechanic created initial sketches of the home, mapping out where all the devices would live while the FCB team could work on how the interactive elements would work.
They also worked on developing moodboards to determine the style that we’d be using for the illustration themselves. FCB and Global Mechanic worked with together with Co to determine the level of fidelity for all the details in the illustration, including how the devices looked and characters were viewed.
Illustration Progression
While the illustration was being developed, the FCB development team worked on the interactive portion to tie the experience together. The hotspots were developed for the desktop version, with an alternate list format for tablet and mobile to be more touch accessible.
