Cox tasked FCB with creating a secondary navigation that would allow customers in the Education Center and Support sections of the site to navigate through detailed content. To answer that ask, FCB created a system that could be used for the Education Center and Support sections, but also could be scaled for future use cases as well.

The process started with developing wire concepts for how the navigation could function.

As the wires were being finalized, visual design explorations started to determine how the dropdown navigation would be stylized using elements from Cox’s brand style guide.

The final designs included details for how all levels of the dropdown would be designed. It also included documentation for the interactions on desktop and mobile.
